What is ambulatory transportation?
Ambulatory transportation is for riders who can walk and travel in a standard passenger vehicle. Summit Care coordinates non-emergency rides to appointments and back home.
Do you arrange rides throughout Michigan?
Yes. We coordinate ambulatory transportation across Michigan, including local trips and appointments in another city. Call or email our team with the pickup city and destination to get started.
Can you arrange physical therapy and recurring appointments?
Yes. We can coordinate a single appointment or a recurring schedule for physical therapy, rehabilitation, medical visits, and other appointments.
How does the return ride work?
We plan the return when we arrange your trip. If the appointment end time is uncertain, call or text our team when you are ready for your return ride.
Can a case manager arrange transportation for a patient?
Yes. Case managers and referral teams can contact us directly to coordinate an individual ride, a recurring schedule, or a schedule change.
What should I do if an appointment changes?
Call or text (734) 756-5506 so our team can update the transportation schedule.
